At Palm Beach Moms, we love shining a spotlight on the incredible women who make our community such a special place to live, work, and raise a family. This week, we’re excited to introduce Dr. Tarah Freyman, a board-certified Family Medicine physician, founder of Wise Concierge Medicine, and mom of two.
A South Florida native, Dr. Freyman has built both her family and her thriving medical practice right here in Palm Beach County. She is passionate about helping families live healthier lives through personalized, relationship-centered care while also embracing the adventures and joys of motherhood. From family travels to Machu Picchu to sharing practical parenting wisdom, Dr. Freyman reminds us of the importance of staying present and appreciating life’s everyday moments.
Let’s get to know her a little better!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in South Florida.
Where do you live now?
West Palm Beach.
What do you love most about living there?
What I love most about Palm Beach is the sense of community. It has all the beauty and amenities of a world-class destination, yet still feels like a small town where families genuinely connect and support one another. It’s been a wonderful place to raise our children and build my concierge medical practice.
Tell us about your family!
My husband, Charlie, and I have two wonderful children, Matilda (10) and Grover (8). Both excel in school, play piano, and stay busy with sports and activities. Matilda is curious and loves cooking, while Grover is an enthusiastic creator with endless energy. They both bring so much joy, laughter, love, and adventure to our family.

What are your favorite local things to do with your kids?
Living in Palm Beach means there’s always something fun to do! As a family, we love spending time at the beach and taking advantage of the area’s diverse dining scene. We also enjoy outdoor music festivals and community events throughout the year.
What’s your day job (or passion project)?
I am a board-certified Family Medicine physician and founder of Wise Concierge Medicine. As both a doctor and a mom, I know how valuable it is to have a trusted healthcare partner who truly knows you and your family.
After more than a decade in traditional medicine, I built a practice centered on the things that matter most—time, relationships, accessibility, and prevention. I provide personalized care for patients of all ages and feel incredibly fortunate to help families navigate their health journeys and live their healthiest, fullest lives.
What’s your ideal family vacation?
Our ideal family vacation combines adventure, culture, great food, and quality time together. We love exploring new places and exposing our children to different people, histories, and ways of life.
We recently returned from an incredible trip to Peru, where visiting Machu Picchu was a highlight for all of us.
What is the best piece of parenting advice you’ve ever received (or would give to another mom)?
Trust your instincts.
It’s easy to get caught up in comparisons and everyone else’s opinions, especially in an era of social media where misinformation is rampant and parenting advice is only a click away. Sorting through all the noise can feel overwhelming.
No one knows your child better than you do. Every family is unique, and the best parenting decisions come from trusting yourself and doing what is right for your family.
What are you reading or watching right now?
I recently finished Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage by Belle Burden while on vacation and couldn’t put it down.
I typically gravitate toward science and medical nonfiction, especially topics related to health, hormones, and longevity. As a busy mom and physician, podcasts have become my go-to, as I’m always eager to hear new perspectives on medicine, wellness, and personal growth.
Motherhood is rewarding, but it’s also a lot. What do you do to take care of yourself?
Self-care is essential.
I recently joined Equinox and try to make movement a priority most days of the week. I especially love the Cardio Hip-Hop and Pilates Fusion classes. I also focus on getting quality sleep and minimizing alcohol, which I believe is foundational to showing up as my best self both at home and at work.
Music, travel, and quality time with family and friends also help keep me grounded and happy.
What are some of your favorite local spots?
Aioli is one of my favorite neighborhood spots for a casual lunch, and our family loves Bradley’s at the waterfront for its local vibe, live music, great food, and fun atmosphere. Their little arcade is always a hit with my kids!
I also enjoy browsing City Girl Consignment, a local resale boutique where you can find everything from designer pieces to one-of-a-kind treasures.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
People may be surprised to learn that I’m not naturally entrepreneurial. My training is in medicine, not business, so becoming a solo practice owner has pushed me outside my comfort zone.
Building Wise Concierge Medicine has been one of the biggest learning experiences of my career, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. It’s reinforced my belief that some of life’s greatest personal and professional growth comes from embracing challenges and remaining open to new possibilities.
What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before becoming a mom?
That these are the good old days.
So much of parenting is spent looking ahead to the next milestone, season, or stage. But I’ve learned that the magic is happening right now. Childhood goes by in the blink of an eye, and I try to slow down, be present, and soak in the ordinary moments that make life so beautiful.
What’s one mom hack you swear by?
Building systems and support wherever you can.
For our family, that means a shared Google Calendar, strong communication, and dividing responsibilities to keep life running smoothly. With two children, full-time careers, sports, and activities, I’ve learned that organization, flexibility, and leaning on your village—whatever that looks like for your family—can make all the difference.
Anything else you’d like our readers to know?
I’m grateful every day for my family, my patients, and this wonderful community we call home.
Life is busy and often unpredictable, but that’s usually where the magic happens. Through it all, I try to stay grounded in what matters most: being authentic, leading with kindness, and making a positive impact on the world around me.
Thank you, Dr. Freyman, for sharing your story with the Palm Beach Moms community!
