Drive more traffic to your website – Mom 2.0 2025 Round Table Discussion

First- why does traffic matter?
It moves you up in organic searches.
It positions you as a reference space and an expert on your field.
Advertisers like – (AKA PAY) for the clicks!
Clicks can convert into email contacts, which you own, unlike followers on other aps.
Are you selling, booking, etc on your site? Make it easy for people.
Ok, lets get down to business.
- Check your Instagram landing page- don’t use a 3rd party- make a landing page on your website. Don’t give away your clicks! Just add a site to your page that is not on the navigation bar with your active links. Make sure you have contact us and full site as links.
- Put your media kit on your website- make it hidden if you want but thats where it goes. This also gives brands a peek at how savvy you are!
- Put your partnerships on a page on your site. This helps in two ways, one you can update it as needed- no one is referencing an old price sheet and you guessed it – more traffic.
- Make a closed Facebook group for your page. Require emails to join then add them to your email list to drive them to guess where? For this to work this group needs to add value to your audience – is this a peer to peer advise page? Make sure you keep it moderated and useful.
- Don’t give it all up in a post! On Insta say comment “relevant word” to get the link and “link in bio for details” or on FB include the link. Keep your highlights updated – I suggest checking this once a month.
- Check your google analytics – what are your best performing pages and posts? DO more like this! Reinvent them.
- Story with older blog posts that are evergreen. Schedule it out. Plan to succeed. Sotries are a great way to connect to your site since you can link directly.
- Use pinterest – pin your blog posts with best practice so they get repined. Pinterest is a search engine – so use your tools.
- BE a reference point. Whatever your nice is, be reliable. If you need help finding yours ask- me, your current followers etc what they come to you for. What are you the expert in? For me, its keeping my events calendar up to date and travel so I am THE reference point for moms living in and visiting the area AND for family travel. What are your readers coming back for?
- E-newlsetter. I like flodesk because of the ease and price point. FILL it with links back to guess where – YOUR SITE! I like to do the top billing as direct back to my site, the middle affiliate links on my site and the 3rd one a direct affiliate link.
- Work your SEO!!! Keywords, etc. If you are on WordPress there is a great plug in to do this easily.
- When you do drive traffic to your site- capture it! Add a pop up email collector. Mine says- let’s be mom friends! Because guess what – you then have access to invite them back to click again. Keep your site updated, working, well, with fresh helpful info.
