Name: Stephanie Rohm Quirantes
Where did you grow up: Miami
Town you live in now: Palm Beach Shores
Why you love living there: THE BEACH!!!! And the tourists that keep it hopping during season!
Tell me about your kids: Wes is 19 finishing his freshman year of college wants to fix cars and kayak for a living..… and Meghan just graduated from high school and plans to go to UCF in the Fall. She loves numbers and wants to be an investment banker. Although her real love is acting and singing. Both kids were homeschooled for high school years. They are 12 months apart and had the same due date! We adopted Wes as a baby and recently found his birthmother!
Favorite things to do with the kids locally: Love the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, walking… We love the Jupiter lighthouse area!
What’s your ‘day job’? How did you get started with it? I co-own Nothing Bundt Cakes in Palm Beach Gardens. I left 25 years as a nutritionist/registered dietitian for food companies to jump into my dream of owning my own business. I tried the cake and was hooked! I wanted to do something fun and make people happy! I love seeing everyone in the store and out at events and the smiles they have from a wonderful treat! I love that we are able to give back to the community in a big way!
What is your best parenting advise. Lay it on us. Don’t hide your struggles. Be open with your challenges. God gives us challenges to support other people that may go through the same things. My husband and I have been through a lot in 25 years! I am very open and am always hoping to support other moms in my journey through infertility, adoption, cancer, my children’s mental health challenges, school issues…. And it goes on!! Be willing to talk about the ugly stuff because someone needs YOU!!
What do you do for self care?  I am a big walker! At least 10,000 steps a day! I also eat a vegetarian diet and I go to bed EARLY!! As a dietitian I always tell people that eat healthy most of the time and then treat yourself sometimes. I love FOOD so I am sure to enjoy what I put into my body!
