The green surrounding all year, The widllife and the ocean and all that is underneath it

Tell me about your kids: I have a 21 year old daughter Emma who is special needs and a fantastic human being. She Is going to college to get into early childhood education. I have a 20 year old Son Jacob, who is one of the kindest funny people you could ever meet. I cannot believe I have been blessed with such amazing children.

Favorite things to do with the kids locally: My children are older now but when they were younger, we loved city place on the holidays, fireworkds in the parks, the train at downtown at the gardens, the many parks all around geocaching and learning about the envirornment around us. To this day we talk about how many colors we can see in every rainbow and sunset.

What’s your ‘day job’? How did you get started with it? I am a concierge Parent consultant, Doula and doula trainer and breastfeeding counselor. I started this work when my chidlren were very young because I wanted people to get good support. I have always been drawn to birthing, babies and breastfeeding and I realized the lack of support so many women have after babies are born. So now, I have helped thousands of women over the 20 years I have been doing this work and it is an honor to have made such a difference for so many.

What is your best parenting advice. Lay it on us. It is not your job to make your children happy. It is your job to keep them safe. Showing them by action who you want them to be, by being that yourself, is the most powerful thing you can do.

What do you do for self care? I love wildlife photography, travel and swinging in my hammock next to the ocean. I take long baths with lavendar and remind myself I am also learning as every day goes by.
