Meet the Mom – Renee B.

Name: Renee Brodbeck

Where did you grow up: Born and raised in Jupiter, FL

Town you live in now: North Palm Beach, FL

Why you love living there: We love our neighbors in NPB!  So many friendly families and my boys always have a friend to play with.

Tell me about your kids: I have two very energetic and active boys, ages 5 and 7.  They love the outdoors!  Fishing, boating, playing soccer, playing golf and catching lizards.

Favorite things to do with the kids locally: As a family, we love to spend time on the water boating and fishing.

What’s your ‘day job’?  How did you get started with it?  I am a Speech-Language Pathologist.  After becoming a mom, I started a private practice which has allowed me to be my own boss and have a flexible schedule.  Since 2007 I have provided diagnostic and therapeutic services to children in Palm Beach County with a variety of speech and language disorders.

What is your best parenting advise.  Lay it on us.  Early intervention is key!  Trust your maternal instinct and seek professional advice if you suspect something is amiss.  Naturally, I suggest that you get an evaluation with a certified Speech-Language Pathologist if you suspect any delays in your child’s development in the areas of speech, language, voice, fluency or social skills.

What do you do for self care?  I love to exercise, especially going for a run!
