Is there anything better to celebrate than love? We think not.
We are talking about the things we do for our sweet Valentines. School cards, Galentines, and a date night idea from the comfort of your own home. About 5 years ago some dear friends started a Valentines playdate at a playground with the kiddos. Now there are a lot more of the kiddos bouncing around. Between this tradition I look forward to every year, our nursing home visit and just the overall love theme, Valentines is my favorite.
Cards We made these fun cards from Mixbook and I love how they turned out. Bonus- we can use them for all of our kids and there is space for personal messages on the back(which is so fun once the kids can write – “Mom how do you spell I love you and you are the best teacher ever?” I mean – it doesn’t get any cuter. We like to slip in a gift card for a coffee shop for the teacher cards. SUPER (easy) indeed! We ordered 25 extra so we can stop at a local nursing home and give some out with heart shaped cookies we will decorate for the occasion.
Galentines! Don’t forget about your girl tribe! Gather them up and just enjoy being together. Pick move to go see together then discuss over coffee or do a yoga class together then grab a juice. Or make it a girls night in – a game night, a nextlix night, make your own pizza night. I got all of my favorite ladies this amazing reusable straw and wrote YOU ARE LOVED! on one site and their initials on the other side with a paint pen on them. Sorry galentines, spoiler!
Your Valentine Date Typically going out on the actual Valentine’s Day is crowded and potentially overrated. Why not give your Valentine a card inviting them to enjoy an at home spa night? Have your sweetie put the kids to bed while you set up these amazing heated foot spas. Play a little How Well do you Know Your Wife and husband for a good giggle and bonding while your feet soak then give eachother a foot rub with this massage oil.
How did this all start? We found the dark history of Valentine’s Day (according to NPR) fascinating. Did you know about any of this?
How are you celebrating? We want to hear! But no matter how we hope you feel the love!
