When you are getting ready to leave for a family vacation and mom hops out of the car back into the house do you know what she was doing?  EVERYTHING, that’s what.  Extra food for the cat, checking the back door, grabbing the shoe that little Bobby dropped, picking up sisters blankie and the phone charger that she knows Dad will have forgotten.

SO if you are that mom or if you are wanting to pamper a special mother in your life – here are a few great ways (we prefer experiences to packages for the most part so here goes).

Spa Day at The Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa

This Spa might be flying under the radar, but we say put it back on.  When you book a spa service (they have hair and nail services as well) you can enjoy the amenities for the day.  That includes the yoga classes offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 930.  Then go enjoy the spa treatments (I recommend the Tideline Oasis Massage, The Ocean Jasmine Glow Body Scrub, then the Botanical Sea Facial).  THEN – have lunch by the pool and after the sun moves a little go enjoy some conversation or a book under your umbrella(that you don’t have to set up- hooray!) at the beach.

For May in honor of Mothers Day The Tideline is offering three special packages.
The Mother Daughter Getaway: 50 min Swedish Massage, mani, pedi and a glass of wine for $208 + 20% gratuity = $249.60
The Ocean Breeze Mothers Day Celebration: 50 min Swedish Massage, Vital Radiance Facial, shampoo, blow dry and glass of wine for $260 + 20% gratuity = $312
Mother to be Mothers Day Treat: 50 min Beautiful Belly Massage, Manicure, Pedicure $158 + 20% gratuity = $201.60

Day at the Spa at PGA National

PGA National resort is more than golf.  Their spa is world class.  This May they are offering some fantastic specials.

  • A Spa Gift Card offer that loves you back with free vacation vouchers for off-season stays with purchases of $350 or more make the ideal gift for Mothers.  They also have fabulous floral inspired treatments all month long.
  • A complimentary selection of tea and sweets at the Spa on Mothers Day Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm for all spa-goers
  • An unlimited Mothers Day Brunch Buffet at Ironwood Steak & Seafood with bottomless Mimosas, Roses for moms and Master Chef Specialties.

High Tea at the Flagler Museum

The celebration of Mother’s Day began during the Gilded Age when in May 1914, Congress established Mother’s Day as a national holiday. In the spirit of this tradition, the Flagler Museum invites all mothers and their families to enjoy a Mother’s Day weekend celebration in the Café des Beaux-Arts. In honor of Mother’s Day, each mother will receive a special flower corsage.
Saturday May 11th 11:30-230 and Sunday May 12th noon-3
Members $30, Nonmembers $50 Children under age 12 $20 includes admission, tax, and gratuity
(Isn’t the family resemblance in the beautiful family below uncanny?!)

A Private Chef to prepare meals for the week

If you really want to make moms day, give her a card saying you are taking care of grocery shopping, making dinner during a busy week of her choosing, and cleaning the kitchen after(don’t worry all you have to do is pay and the price is right).  Koki will send a chef, with all the organic groceries and make a fresh dinner for that evening and 3 meals prepared and packed away to be enjoyed the rest of the week.  Then they clean the kitchen and slip out.  Read our full review here.  Use code PBMOMS for $75 off!
