Where did you grow up: Portland Maine

Town you live in now: palm beach gardens

Why you love living there: I was actually born in St. Pete but grew up in Portland Maine, and the ocean has always been part of my soul, but not those brutal winters lol! My husband and I called Miami home for several years before moving to texas but we always felt the pull back toward south Florida! We love the vibrancy , the beaches, nature, and the overall energy!

Tell me about your kids: I am a mother to two full of life little girls, 3 1/2 and 6 1/2 , they have the best blonde curly hair and pure energy and spirit! They love being outside, singing, dancing , painting and drawing and looking for lizards /cool bugs, and recently my oldest has become obsessed with Pokémon!

Favorite things to do with the kids locally: we love lakeside park, the loggerhead marine center, all the beaches, Riverbend park, downtown palm beach gardens

What’s your ‘day job’? How did you get started with it? I am a yoga instructor, I started regularly taking yoga classes when I was 25 and felt an instant connection to the practice and how transformational it was for me! a few years later in Miami I decided to turn my passion into my profession, and be able to share the practice with others and be a part of their transformational journeys. I never feel like it is a “job”, I love teaching and connecting with people and feel so fortunate every time I teach!

What is your best parenting advice. Lay it on us. Listen to your intuition, and respond to your individual children, throw away the baby books 😉 do the simultaneous work on yourself to be your best self for them , yoga definitely helps me be a better mom!

What do you do for self care? I try to keep it simple, it starts with awareness of myself and when I feel like I am running on empty and losing my patience with my loved ones, then I know I need to take a yoga or workout class,or maybe just take some deep breaths or call a friend and vent, or just a walk by myself! Sipping that hot
cup of coffee outside in the morning light fills me up !
