Ever since we experienced falconry this summer the kids have been obsessed with it. We have read the rebel girls story about Aisholpan Nurgaiv a zillion times and watched the documentary about the Mongolian falconers just as many.  When they heard that Medieval times employs multiple falconers at each of their 10 locations (there are less than 5,000 in the US) they have been asking to go to Medieval Times.
Well, it was all that they hoped for and then some. As soon as we entered the castle the excitement was building!  We found out which knight we would be rooting for.  Then we go to meet a falconer and take a photo. Â
Then in to see the rest of the castle and see if a crown suits you.  Thanks to the stepped stadium seating and small venue there isn’t a bad seat in the house.  The show was action packed with birds, royalty, horses, sport, sparks flying and crowds cheering.  You get to eat with your hands(there was no silverware in medieval times).  The food was delish!
