We love living here so much. There are so many young families, so many family-friendly events, the beach, the pool, sports,
Tell me about your kids:
Jack (8), Luke (6), Benjamin (4). 3 crazy boys that play sports and keep us busy. They are fun, adventurous, and make our lives wonderful and wild.
Favorite things to do with the kids locally:
We are often on a sports field. We have started playing golf with our older boys. We love the beach, the boat, and Burger Shack.
What’s your ‘day job’? How did you get started with it?
I launched FIT4MOM Palm Beach just over 5 years ago. I began as a member of FIT4MOM in Martin County. When my husband left the active duty Army, we decided to relocate to Jupiter. When I realized there wasn’t a FIT4MOM here, I knew I had to bring it to this community! FIT4MOM Palm Beach believes healthy moms build community through movement.
FIT4MOM Palm Beach has classes for all stages of motherhood. Workouts for moms with kiddos in tow like Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre. And mom-only workouts Strides 360 and Body Well.
What is your best parenting advice. Lay it on us.
Lol I just googled parenting advice. My general approach is be playful with boundaries. I always want my kids to come to me and to be their safe space. AND, I try to set clear and consistent expectations. When they are little we talk a lot about was that a “thumbs down” or “thumbs up” choice? Our goal is to grow kind confident boys into kind confident men.
We also eat family dinner whenever we can, and we do a peak and pit of the day. What was your peak? And what was your pit? Best/worst thing that happened today. And I’m almost certain I stole that from the Kardashians.
What do you do for self care?
I read often. We have a book club in FIT4MOM that has been so fun. I needlepoint a little. And I love any pampering – massage, facial, mani, pedi, heck yes!
Karaoke – what are you singing?
I would happily sing anything – particularly 90s county! – but nobody is asking me to! Totally tone deaf.
