Where did you grow up:

Town you live in now: 

Delray Beach

Why you love living there: When our family had the chance to move back to Florida, Delray was at the top of the list. I love being on the coast and the small town, golf cart everywhere culture is hard to beat. Plus, our family loves spending time on the water whether it’s at the beach, the pool or out on the boat.

Tell me about your kids: 

I have an 8 year old son and a 5 year old daughter.

Favorite things to do with the kids locally: We love to head out on the boat and spend time on the water, hit up Whit’s ice cream or Jupiter Donuts for a treat and of course a fun game of family Pickleball is always a good idea around our house.

What’s your ‘day job’?  How did you get started with it?

I started the brand 2.5 years ago with my partner Carly Bellis. We starting playing Pickleball during Covid with our husbands and fell in love. When we went to purchase our own paddles we quickly realized there were few options on the market that looked as good as they played. The market was full of Black paddles with lack luster designs… nothing that really spoke to us. That’s when we decided to start Swinton Pickleball, a brand intent on bringing the market gear and apparel that is Designed for Style but Made to Win. Today swinton is a thriving lifestyle Pickleball brand offering paddles, bags, hats, towels and apparel to the market in a way that is focused on getting people on the court having fun!

What is your best parenting advice.  Lay it on us.  One of my favorite traditions in our house is “date night” where each week I take my oldest out to dinner on a date. I’ve done this since he was 2. We almost always end the night with a stop at Whit’s. And I take my daughter each Friday on a day date where we go to the French Bakery for croissants. It gives me one on one time with each (while my husband gets one on one time with the other) to just talk and have undivided attention. We all look forward to that time together.

What do you do for self care? To be honest I should do better at this 🙂 I attend the Montana Method every chance I get and try to work in some “me time” to sneak off for a coffee on the beach.

Karaoke – what are you singing? The thought of me singing Karaoke makes me laugh out loud. If you catch me singing karaoke it’s a miracle 🙂
