Congrats! When baby time gets near its a good idea to have your birth bag packed.
Here is what we recommend having in your bag:
A pillow for you
A pillow for anyone staying with you
A nursing pillow (Even if bottle only)
Lip balm
A speaker and charger
A playlist on your phone
White noise app downloaded on your phone
Eye mask if you are sensitive to light
Phone charger
Reading material
Baby book so you can do footprints
Gown, robe and slippers
Nursing bra
Breast pump so nurses can help you get started. Good Samaritan has them for you to rent as well.
Toiletries
Change of clothes
Going home outfit for baby
Baby blanket or swaddle
Car seat with base installed in car taking you home – this one swivels!
Socks for you
Any items you want included in photos
Water bottle
Snacks
Good Samaritan Medical Center provides diapers, wipes, and receiving blanket.
Tips: Ask the nurses ALL your questions. Ask to have the lactation consultant check your babies latch if you are nursing. Take photos. Don’t be afraid to say no if you don’t feel like having visitors. You got this momma!
