DESCRIPTION:We are proud to host Sensory Saturdays on the 1st Saturday of each month. The Cox Science Center and Aquarium is open for special exploration hours from 9am-10am\, specifically designed for families affected by autism spectrum disorder\, sensory processing or cognitive challenges\, or other guests requiring assistance for disabilities. \nExperience our exhibits without heavy crowds before we open to the public at 10am with softened general lighting\, decreased noise level and limited visual stimulation on interactive exhibits wherever possible. Our facility is also ADA accessible and wheelchair friendly! \n50% off regular Science Center admission paid at the door. DESCRIPTION:On the second Sunday of every month\, TCM offers a sensory friendly experience for children with disabilities or have sensory considerations. Explore the Museum in a sensory modified and supportive setting with limited admission\, lowered sound stimulation and soft lighting. The goal is to provide your child with the opportunity to engage in social interactions and improve the processing\, modulation and regulation of sensory input\, allowing restricted access for children and families in a safe nurturing environment. You will also foster new relationships with families\, making lasting connections and friendships! \nAdmission to Sensory Friendly Sunday is $1. No registration required at this time\, if capacity is full\, Museum will close entry until capacity falls below its max threshold of 75 guests. As part of our Music in the Museum series\, Mattos transports you to vibrant\, urban street sounds of Latin America with his virtuosic playing and infectious rhythms. \nMattos’ performance celebrates the rich cultural heritage that has shaped jazz. With his technical mastery and deep understanding of the genre\, Mattos will take you on a musical journey that will leave you wanting more. \nBorn into a musical family\, Angel David Mattos studied at the San Juan School of Music\, University of Illinois\, and Berklee School of Music. He has performed internationally with other jazz greats such as Dave Valentin\, Alex Acuña\, and David Sánchez. A faculty member of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico\, he was inducted this year into the Puerto Rico Music Hall of Fame. \nÚnase a nosotros el 15 de septiembre\, el primer día del Mes de la Herencia Hispana\, mientras presentamos una tarde apasionante de jazz latino en piano con el talentoso pianista puertorriqueño Ángel David Mattos. This session will include a special costume design activity: children will decorate their own crowns as they step into the roles of princesses\, princes\, queens\, or sorcerers. Young detectives and their families will work through the rooms of the mansion meeting different characters from the iconic TV show that has captivated fans for more than five decades. Unmask the jewel thief and discover secrets of the mansion through January 5\, 2025. \nIn the Hall of Portraits\, meet Daphne—the brave fashionista of the gang. Comb through moving eye portraits to discover the villain’s hidden control panel that creates spooky illusions. In the Villain’s Tinkering Workshop\, work alongside Fred\, the group’s calm and collected leader\, to build a trap for the villain. Green glowing clues appear to help along the way! Shaggy and his lovable canine pal Scooby-Doo™ can be found in the kitchen of course\, where families participate in the iconic ghost chase and create many more delicious memories. No mystery can be solved without the help of tech-savvy Velma in the library music room. Solve a musical puzzle on the organ and use the Clue Analyzer to get a visual of the villain. \nBe sure to gather the family for a mesmerizing photo op with The Mystery Machine! The iconic vehicle\, on loan from Warner Bros. Archives\, was one of four that were initially made for the live-action movies SCOOBY-DOO (2002) and SCOOBY-DOO 2: MONSTERS UNLEASED (2004). \nSCOOBY-DOO!™ Mansion Mayhem was produced by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Warner Bros.
