DESCRIPTION:Help out in the Community Greening Tree Nursery in Boca Raton! \nDetails & Signups: https://communitygreening.org/events \nGive Community Greening a hand at the CG Tree Nursery in Boca Raton\, which is home to thousands of trees being grown for future tree planting & giveaway events! \nCG Arborists and our trained Tree Technicians will be on hand to lead the group\, and guide/assist volunteers in a variety of activities such as sowing seeds\, transplanting saplings\, and weeding/watering/staking young trees! \nNo experience needed. All skill levels and physical capabilities welcomed (many activities can be completed while sitting). We encourage anyone to join us who is interested in getting their hands a little dirty\, while helping a great cause. \nWe’ll have any needed tools\, as well as work gloves to borrow and water on-site (though feel free to bring your own). We’ll also have cold water and snacks. \nPlease wear closed-toed shoes\, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen. \nFamilies are welcome\, all minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. \nThe Community Greening Nursery is located on the grounds of the HabCenter (22313 Boca Rio Road). Upon arrival you will proceed through the entry gates of the HabCenter and around the back of the building to the parking lot. DESCRIPTION:We will be teaching our Midwifery led resuscitation of the newborn. All aspects of NRP- LMA\, I/O\, UVC and med administration will be covered. Content in addition to NRP to include introduction of T-Piece resuscitators and why they matter\, EMS collaboration and transfer scenarios\, trauma based debriefing\, and resuscitation in place. Instructor is a community based midwife with experience in EMS\nIndividual practice needs and scenarios are assessed and developed with community focus. Equipment\, drills\, and setups unique to community birth settings drive the course. \nOur goal is for each learner to feel confident with both ventilation and the advanced skills\, and we have found that this takes time to achieve.
