DESCRIPTION:MODS is open an hour early for sensory-friendly Museum exploration and activities followed by an IMAX film at 12:30 p.m. \nTo provide a more sensory-sensitive environment for individuals on the autism spectrum\, the theater lights will be turned up and the sound will be lowered. All films will be presented in 2D. No trailers will be shown before the movie. Audience members are welcome to get up\, sing\, walk\, dance and shout without worrying about complaints. Families may bring snacks from home\, as well as blankets and other small items to be comfortable. \nGuests can also participate in a variety of sensory based activities throughout the Museum. Children will engage in social interactions and improve the processing\, modulation and regulation of sensory input to increase participation in a natural environment. \nDon’t miss this special opportunity to experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150\,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits\, an outdoor science park\, a live animal collection\, a rotating schedule of science shows\, learning labs\, café\, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock\, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The motion and noises of the Dinosaurs will be halted during this hour and will not begin until 10am every Tuesday. \nDinosaurs Around the World exhibit at Flamingo Gardens will run daily for a limited engagement from May 25\, – September 2\, 2024. Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors\, is a captivating outdoor exhibit featuring 13 animatronic dinosaurs that come to life with incredibly realistic sound and lifelike movements. Travel back to the time before the continents as we know them existed\, when lush landscapes covered Africa and Antarctica was green! Grab your prehistoric passport and discover how land bridges\, volcanic activity\, and plate tectonics allowed dinosaurs such as T. rex\, Spinosaurus\, Hadrosaur\, and more to disperse all over the globe\, giving each of today’s continents its own unique selection of these giant reptiles. \nDinosaurs Among Us in the Gallery will be open from 9:30am-4:30pm daily for a limited engagement from May 25 – September 2\, 2024. Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors in the Gardens\, is open daily to the public from 9:30am – 5:00pm with a special Quiet Hour every Tuesday\, from 9am-10am\, for guests with sensory sensitivities.
