SUMMARY:Christmas Tree Lighting Festivities
DESCRIPTION:Free with Museum admission \nThe 16-foot tall Grand Hall Christmas Tree\, with its historically accurate trimmings\, is the center of Whitehall’s holiday celebrations. The Tree Lighting festivities include holiday music played on Whitehall’s original 1\,249-pipe Odell organ and the 1902 Steinway art-case grand piano. This annual performance is the only opportunity visitors have to hear both of Whitehall’s majestic instruments. Special choir performances\, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus complete the afternoon’s activities. The event culminates with Henry Flagler’s youngest descendants lighting the Grand Hall Christmas Tree. Each visitor will receive a box of Animal Crackers\, a treat invented in the Gilded Age. The iconic circus box with a string was originally designed as a Christmas Tree ornament. The Christmas Tree Lighting Festivities are sponsored by Florida Weekly.

SUMMARY:Holiday Boat Parade- Delray/Boynton
DESCRIPTION:Boynton Harbor Marina – 735 Casa Loma Blvd.\nThe Boynton Beach Holiday Boat Parade is hosted annually on the second Friday of December. The event features a variety of festively decorated boats and is a premier holiday attraction for the Boynton Harbor Marina. This year\, the event is being held in partnership with the Town of Hypoluxo\, Town of Lantana\, and City of Delray Beach. \nEach year\, a combination of privately owned and commercial vessels decked out with dazzling lights\, holiday décor\, and costumed captains compete in the modest\, yet wildly popular boat parade. The festive flotilla lights up the Intracoastal waterways of beautiful Boynton Beach! \nParade Route \nAt 6:30 PM\, the parade will form at the Ocean Avenue Bridge in Lantana (near Old Key Lime House) and travel south to the C-15 Canal in Delray Beach (south of Linton Boulevard). \nWatch Locations  \nThe Boynton Harbor Marina\, located at 735 Casa Loma Boulevard\, serves as the official watch location for the Holiday Boat Parade in Boynton Beach. Activities at the Boynton Harbor Marina include festive music\, children’s activities\, a special visit from Santa\, and food and beverages available for purchase from Two Georges Restaurant. Guests are encouraged to bring a new\, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. \nIn addition to the Boynton Harbor Marina\, there are plenty of other great viewing areas available along the parade route\, such as waterfront restaurants and parks. \nRecommended locations include: \nWaterfront Restaurants \nLantana \n\nOld Key Lime House – 300 E. To ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians the bridges outlined below will be held in the upright position while the boat parade is passes each area. It is very difficult to provide an exact time that the bridges will be unavailable for crossing. The times listed below are merely estimates based on data collected in previous years. \nBoynton Beach \n\nOcean Avenue – 7:15 PM\nWoolbright Road – 7:30 PM\n\nDelray Beach \n\nGeorge Bush Boulevard – 7:45 PM\nAtlantic Avenue – 8:00 PM\nLinton Boulevard – 8:15 PM\n\nToys for Tots  \nEach year\, the BBCRA partners with Marine Industries and Sea Tow to collect new\, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. This is a wonderful opportunity to help a local child receive a gift during the holiday season. There will be boats traveling with the parade that will stop at individual docks along the parade route to collect toys. Simply waive a flashlight and a boat will come directly to you for pick-up. There will also be Toys for Tots donation boxes at the Boynton Harbor Marina\, Banana Boat\, Prime Catch\, and Two Georges.
