Uncover a dinosaur skeleton with paleontologist Mary Anning\, explore a secret garden with botanist George Washington Carver and look at x-rays with chemist Marie Curie. In the Hall of Heroes\, learn the traits of a hero and how you can be a hero today.\nThe PBS KIDS® TV series\, Xavier Riddle and The Secret Museum is based on the highly acclaimed children’s book series Ordinary People Change the World by #1 New York Times bestselling author and South Florida resident Brad Meltzer and award-winning letterer and illustrator Chris Eliopoulos. Created by the filmmakers of popular giant screen titles Sea Lions: Life by A Whisker and Serengeti: Journey to the Heart of Africa\, Elephants: Giants of the Desert brings the inspiring story of a resilient elephant family surviving against the odds in one of the harshest environments on Earth – Africa’s Namib Desert – to the giant screen for the very first time. \nFilmed on location in the Namib\, one of the oldest and largest deserts\, the film provides unprecedented access to one of only two populations of desert elephants in the world\, totaling close to 150 individuals compared to a historic population of 2\,500-3\,500 in the 18th century. Despite having significant needs for water\, these elephants have somehow learned to thrive in this land of extremes. With a slow reproduction cycle of 3+ years and a high mortality rate due partly to the desert conditions\, every calf becomes more than precious\, and the desert elephants themselves seem to know it well\, too. \nThe film’s story is driven by Little Foot\, a newborn calf\, as she survives her perilous and most vulnerable first year despite the odds\, helped by a fierce extended family of elephants. Audiences will follow Little Foot on an epic and at times whimsical journey\, getting up close and personal with the largest land mammals on the planet as they care for the smallest member of the herd. DESCRIPTION:Turtle Walks are a unique program that allows our visitors to learn about and observe the nesting and egg-laying process of loggerhead sea turtles. \nDuration\n\nApproximately 3 Hours\nThere’s no way to know the exact duration of the program from night to night\, although the program is officially scheduled from 9pm – 12am. The length of the program depends on when we spot a loggerhead sea turtle and her behavior. If we do spot one\, it could be at any point in the evening. If no turtle has been spotted by midnight\, the program concludes.\n\nAbout\nWith the approval of state issued permits\, experienced Loggerhead Marinelife Center scouts will patrol our designated section of Juno Beach searching for sea turtles while visitors enjoy an informative presentation on the plight of sea turtles and engage in a variety of hands-on learning experiences. Once a loggerhead sea turtle emerges and begins her egg-laying process\, the group is then led down to the beach to witness this unforgettable experience. \nWhat happens if I don’t see a sea turtle?\nWe cannot guarantee that a loggerhead sea turtle will carry out her nesting process on the evening of your scheduled program. Though we cannot offer refunds\, all ticket sales directly benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission and the care of our sea turtle patients. \nWhat are my chances to see a turtle?\nThere is absolutely NO way to predict the successful nesting of a sea turtle on the night of your scheduled walk. Sea turtles never RSVP\, and we have no way of knowing what the likelihood of seeing a sea turtle will be from night to night. Juno Beach\, however\, is one of the densest nesting sites for loggerhead sea turtles in the world. \nHow does the program work?\nNesting is highest for loggerhead sea turtles in June and July. During these months\, we offer turtle walks to the public Tuesday-Saturday under a required permit issued by the state of Florida. Once registered for an evening\, visitors come to the center and receive a presentation\, at which time our scouts are on the beach in search of activity. If the scouts spot a loggerhead sea turtle carrying out her nesting process\, they will radio to bring the group down to watch. \nHow long is the program?\nThere’s no way to know the exact duration of the program from night to night\, although the program is officially scheduled from 9pm – 12am. The length of the program depends entirely on when and if we spot a sea turtle. If we do spot one\, it could be at any point in the evening. If no turtle has been spotted by midnight\, the program concludes. \nCan I bring a flashlight?\nSorry\, flashlights are not permitted. \nCan I take pictures?\nWe do not permit photography of any form throughout the program. \nMore Info\n\nChildren must be 10 years or older to attend the walks\, and all participants must be able to walk up to half a mile on the beach.\nDue to our State issued permit requirements\, we can only accommodate a small number of people per night and dates fill up quickly. There is no relationship between sea turtle nesting activity and the phase of the moon\, the weather\, or the tides. All scheduled Turtle Walk nights have the same odds of the group seeing a sea turtle nesting. There are no refunds on tickets if a sea turtle is not spotted.\n\nWhat to Wear\n\nDark clothing is preferred to minimize the impact on nesting sea turtles. Bug spray and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.\nWhat if it’s raining? We run our program rain or shine and only stay off the beach in the event of lightning. During this waiting period\, guests will be onsite enjoying our presentation. We do not cancel the program due to inclement weather. If the forecast calls for rain\, we recommend guests wear raincoats or ponchos. No umbrellas please.

DESCRIPTION:Turtle Walks are a unique program that allows our visitors to learn about and observe the nesting and egg-laying process of loggerhead sea turtles. \nDuration\n\nApproximately 3 Hours\nThere’s no way to know the exact duration of the program from night to night\, although the program is officially scheduled from 9pm – 12am. The length of the program depends on when we spot a loggerhead sea turtle and her behavior. If we do spot one\, it could be at any point in the evening. If no turtle has been spotted by midnight\, the program concludes.\n\nAbout\nWith the approval of state issued permits\, experienced Loggerhead Marinelife Center scouts will patrol our designated section of Juno Beach searching for sea turtles while visitors enjoy an informative presentation on the plight of sea turtles and engage in a variety of hands-on learning experiences. Once a loggerhead sea turtle emerges and begins her egg-laying process\, the group is then led down to the beach to witness this unforgettable experience. \nWhat happens if I don’t see a sea turtle?\nWe cannot guarantee that a loggerhead sea turtle will carry out her nesting process on the evening of your scheduled program. Though we cannot offer refunds\, all ticket sales directly benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s mission and the care of our sea turtle patients. \nWhat are my chances to see a turtle?\nThere is absolutely NO way to predict the successful nesting of a sea turtle on the night of your scheduled walk. Sea turtles never RSVP\, and we have no way of knowing what the likelihood of seeing a sea turtle will be from night to night. Juno Beach\, however\, is one of the densest nesting sites for loggerhead sea turtles in the world. \nHow does the program work?\nNesting is highest for loggerhead sea turtles in June and July. During these months\, we offer turtle walks to the public Tuesday-Saturday under a required permit issued by the state of Florida. Once registered for an evening\, visitors come to the center and receive a presentation\, at which time our scouts are on the beach in search of activity. If the scouts spot a loggerhead sea turtle carrying out her nesting process\, they will radio to bring the group down to watch. \nHow long is the program?\nThere’s no way to know the exact duration of the program from night to night\, although the program is officially scheduled from 9pm – 12am. The length of the program depends entirely on when and if we spot a sea turtle. If we do spot one\, it could be at any point in the evening. If no turtle has been spotted by midnight\, the program concludes. \nCan I bring a flashlight?\nSorry\, flashlights are not permitted. \nCan I take pictures?\nWe do not permit photography of any form throughout the program. \nMore Info\n\nChildren must be 10 years or older to attend the walks\, and all participants must be able to walk up to half a mile on the beach.\nDue to our State issued permit requirements\, we can only accommodate a small number of people per night and dates fill up quickly. There is no relationship between sea turtle nesting activity and the phase of the moon\, the weather\, or the tides. All scheduled Turtle Walk nights have the same odds of the group seeing a sea turtle nesting. There are no refunds on tickets if a sea turtle is not spotted.\n\nWhat to Wear\n\nDark clothing is preferred to minimize the impact on nesting sea turtles. Bug spray and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.\nWhat if it’s raining? We run our program rain or shine and only stay off the beach in the event of lightning. During this waiting period\, guests will be onsite enjoying our presentation. We do not cancel the program due to inclement weather. If the forecast calls for rain\, we recommend guests wear raincoats or ponchos. No umbrellas please.

DESCRIPTION:The Flagler Museum will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday\, April 19\, 2025. Gates will open at 9:00 am and the Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10:00 am. The event always sells out in advance with about 1\,000 visitors attending each year. Be sure to buy your Easter Egg Hunt tickets early by visiting the Museum’s website at www.FlaglerMuseum.us. \nThe Flagler Museum’s Easter Egg Hunt began in 2006 and was introduced to continue the Gilded Age tradition of the event that began on the South Lawn of the White House when President Rutherford B. Hayes welcomed children to the first White House Easter Egg Roll in 1878. As at the White House\, families will receive a souvenir wooden Easter Egg to commemorate the event. \nChildren of all ages are invited to hunt for more than 7\,000 eggs on the Museum’s lawn and in the beautiful Cocoanut Grove. Museum gates open at 9:00 a.m.\, when children can enjoy a visit by the Easter Bunny\, engage in Easter-themed craft projects\, have their face painted\, receive a balloon sculpture\, and play the Bean Bag Toss game before the egg hunts begin. The traditional Easter Egg Hunts will feature treat-filled eggs “hidden” on the Museum’s lawn and in the Cocoanut Grove\, and areas will be sectioned-off by age group so that all children\, including toddlers\, have the opportunity to participate safely. The Easter Egg Hunt for children up to age 4 will start at 10 am on the front lawn.
