DESCRIPTION:Ahoy\, adventurers! “Seas” the day and plunge into the mysteries of the ocean as Voyage to the Deep – Underwater Adventures presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital makes a splash at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) from January 26 – May 19\, 2024.\nDiscover Jules Verne’s mythical world of 20\,000 Leagues Under the Sea by diving into the Cabinet of Curiosities\, where you’ll come face-to-face with the most bizarre and awe-inspiring marine specimens imaginable! Then\, channel your inner explorer and tinker with the groundbreaking gadgets and gizmos that made Admiral Peary and Matthew Henson Arctic legends during the early 1900s. Explore the lost world of Atlantis and the octopus’s garden\, slide down an “escape hatch\,” wander through the seaweed maze in the kelp forest and hunt for treasure in the wreck of the Spanish galleon. \nThe exhibition presents fantasy and facts\, allowing guests to explore Verne’s imaginary world and the real-life wonders of ocean exploration. Designed to provide a range of interactive experiences\, the exhibition includes full-body interactions\, mechanical and electro-mechanical exhibits\, interactive projections and touchscreens. \nAssemble your crew\, gather your sea legs and join us for a once-in-a- lifetime oceanic odyssey that’ll make your wildest nautical dreams come true! The Voyage to the Deep exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum\, an Australian Government entity. Flying Fish manages the exhibit tour. \nExperience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150\,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits\, an outdoor science park\, a live animal collection\, a rotating schedule of science shows\, learning labs\, café\, store\, and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock\, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida.
