The Voyage to the Deep exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum\, an Australian Government entity. DESCRIPTION:$15 registration required \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will learn basic techniques for fishing including knot tying\, casting\, fish handling\, and proper catch-and-release techniques.\nIn addition to fishing skills\, participants are taught to be responsible anglers and discover how to reduce their impact on marine life. Fish caught during this program will always be released. All fishing equipment and bait is provided. Participants will receive a Responsible Anglers Certificate following their completion of the program. DESCRIPTION:Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum invites guests to the historical landmark’s annual Family Adventure Day “By the Sea!” themed event on January 20. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.\, families are invited to participate in the sea-inspired activities\, performances\, education and adventure\, while exploring “History Shaped by Nature” that children and adults alike will enjoy! \nLocal organizations such as The Nature Conservancy\, FishingCommunity.org\, and The River Center will be partaking in the fun-filled day. Families can discover the nature trails of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area and receive a backpack and Jr. Park Ranger Booklets\, complete with coloring pages and other activities\, provided by the Bureau of Land Management; climb 105 stairs to the top of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse; walk through the native plant trail where children will walk amongst upcycled art and then draw a piece of their own trash to make “trash art”; learn the scientific process of how rocks “blow”; participate in a children-friendly obstacle course; meet Manny the manatee who will be guiding guests; create a lighthouse lantern craft; try their hand at catching fish off the pier (fishing supplies will be provided); and engage with unique wildlife\, native to South Florida\, including a corn snake.
