There is a hidden gem in Delray and I selfishly sort of don’t want to share it. It is the perfect socially distanced resort.  Privacy is by design and covid precautions are a priority.  It is the perfect family unplug.
Cranes Beach house is located just a block from the Atlantic Ocean and a block from Atlantic Ave.  Barely visible from the street because of the tropical gardens, It is a Key West style oasis that you have to see to believe.  You park your car and stroll past one of the two pools to check in. The staff is incredibly welcoming and will make you feel right at home. Â
With two pools for just 28 rooms, even with each room occupied, we barely saw another guest. Â
The small intimate property lives like a condo. There are just two floors, the first floor offers patios and the second floor has generous patios with chairs and a ceiling fan. The perfect spot to relax. Â
Your Pied-a-terre will have one bedroom one bath with a full kitchen. The kitchens are fully stocked if cooking suits you. There are some treats for purchase in the full size fridge and freezer such as wine and ice cream. The kitchen is open to your dining and living room. The living room has a surprisingly comfortable pull out sofa. There is a television in the living room as well as the bedroom. Â
Yoga mats and beach chairs are available at the front desk.Â
We didn’t use our car for our stay, we walked down to enjoy all that Atlantic Avenue has to offer. Periwinkle is a darling boutique with lots of goodies for mom. Kilwins is a must ice cream stop, Elisabetta’s is a wonderful Italian restaurant if you can get a reservation, Murder on the Beach is a true book lovers shop! We visited during the holidays and the 100 foot tree at Old School Square was fabulous. Took my breath away!
