Eye of the Storm – FREE admission

Storm into a day of explosive science fun at the Museum of Discovery and Science! MODS is teaming up with Florida International University International Hurricane Research Center and the Florida Division of Emergency Management for an action-packed celebration of hurricane science, STEM adventures and hands-on discovery featuring the explosive Nitro Show, engaging activities for all ages, a Touch-a-Truck station and community partners offering valuable hurricane preparedness and family resources.

The FREE event takes place May 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Featuring local meteorologists, hurricane experts, live storm demonstrations, emergency vehicles and hands-on weather activities focused on hurricane preparedness and safety.

Guests can deliver their own weather forecast on a green screen, meet first responders and hear from FIU researchers, NOAA representatives and emergency management teams as hurricane season approaches. Guests will also enjoy full Museum access, including the new Science of Guinness World Records exhibit.
