I have traveled to attend health retreats with my mom, Miraval, Canyon Ranch, Telluride Yoga Festival and more. While all were wonderful, I can honestly say I got so much more out of the 3 day Eudemonia experience. The mix of great classes with world renowned experts, the expo with fabulous vendors, getting to experience the antidotes like red light, sauna and cold plunge, the variety, the community, the ease of the Hilton hotel being seamless… ahhh – just so good.

2. Red light therapy is amazing for healing in so many ways. We chatted with Lauren, one of the founders of HigherDOSE – the standard in the business about her work and raising her twins.
3. Sleep is the BOSS. If you are going to be good at anything make it sleep. We attended a lecture with The Sleep Dr and there were so many takeaways, but this I really didn’t know: All humans wake between 1 and 3 am… many are tempted to get up and try to pee really quick as long as they are up. Unless you really do have to go, don’t risk raising your heart rate by getting up. You need a slow heart rate to get into good sleep. 4. Estrogen is an anti inflammatory. The story about hormone replacement therapy being linked to cancer has been debunked and the experts (Robin Berzin, Root Cause Medicine Doctor MD with Parsley Health and Jessica Shepherd OBGYN & Women’s Health Expert MD and AMAZING speaker) were in support of it (with testing and symptoms to confirm need) for women in perimenopause and menopause.
5. Connection and community matter. The most effective way to heal your trauma is to help others. Contributing to something bigger than yourself gives meaning, purpose and connection. James S. Gordon, MD, author of Transforming Trauma: The Path to Hope and Healing, is a Harvard-educated psychiatrist, and the founder and CEO of the nonprofit Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, D.C. Dr. Gordon is internationally recognized for using self-awareness, self-care, and group support to heal population-wide psychological trauma. He is a clinical professor at Georgetown Medical School, and was chairman (under Presidents Clinton and GW Bush) of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy, so he would know.
6. Starting your day in a good way – maybe watching the sunrise, hugging your loved ones, making your bed is the way to go. Even if the day goes sideways you will have that peace to stand on.

8. There has been a 60% increase in teen depression in the last decade and 30% increase in obesity since the 90’s. We have to do better. Living should be more than the fear of death. Breath work, meditation, moving your body, sunshine, sleep, digital detox, swapping processed foods for fresh are all low to no cost no brainer options. We must model a healthy life for the next generation.
9. AI (Artificial intelligence) is now part of your healthcare, all of our healthcare. For whatever reason hearing that alarmed and excited me, so it’s on the list. Bryan Johnson shared that in two years or less AI can develop itself faster than humans can.
