Winter Camp Theme: PHYSICS AT WORK IN NATURE!
Camp Activities
Build a yacht and discover the properties of water displacement
Dye carnations to see how plants use the physics of water transpiration and cohesion
Excavate your own fossils
Create rain in a jar
Design a racetrack for a solar car
Plus become an edible gardener by making healthy garden snacks, including buffalo cauliflower, zucchini pizza, and pretzel bites.
Camp activities take place both outside and inside. Campers will have access to cool, safe, inside space when needed due to excessive heat or in the event of rain.
Camp Dates/Hours/Fees
Dec. 27 – 29, 2023 (must register for all three days)
9 am – 3 pm
$175 for members
$200 for non-members
$15 for optional extended care (covers 8-9 am and 3-4 pm)
What Campers Should Bring:
Refillable water bottle
Healthy lunch
We also suggest a hat, sunscreen and bug repellant.
What MBG Provides:
Materials for all activities
Snacks
Water for refilling bottles
Camp registration is limited to 20 participants.
