Hometown Heroes Appreciation Day
Event opens to our Heroes and Science Center Members at 9:30 am
The Cox Science Center and Aquarium is celebrating Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders and Gold Star Families.
To salute our Hometown Heroes,we are celebrating with:
- A Welcome Ceremony at 10 am
- Military vehicle demos and photo opportunities
- Meet and greet with local armed forces and first responders
- Live Science Demonstrations
- Hands-on crafts and activities
- Family-friendly entertainment
- Exhibit exploration around and outside the Science Center
- Lunch provided for heroes
Free admission for Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders, Gold Star Families, and up to 4 guests. Heroes must provide valid I.D. Advanced registration required.
Event opens to our Heroes and Science Center members at 9 am and the general public at 10 am and is included with regular admission. Food trucks will be on site, snacks & refreshments will be available for purchase to the public.

Thank you for your service! Registration is required to reserve admission for the event – Heroes may bring up to 4 complimentary guests. Please register under your respective branch of service with however many guests you will bring + yourself. After your order goes through, you do not have to do anything else. Please bring your military or employee ID to redeem admission when you arrive on the day of the event. Thank you for your service!
